Public Access Defibrillator (PAD)

Increasingly it is a common sight  in public areas to see defibrillators. Every minute’s delay  a victim of a cardiac arrest  has to wait before  receiving emergency treatment  can reduce their survival;  time is of the essence ( see NHS brochure). Therefore I wish to ask  the residents of Lansdowne Park if they wish to see a PAD unit installed. I will write to every one on site to consult them on this matter and would ask everyone to respond. There is a cost implication to the set and installation of an estimated £1,800 but spread though out the park residents this amounts to 38p per month for 8 years.  Whilst we have the warden on site for 3 days a week, additional volunteers would be needed but full training would be included.
